De theetuin

Since 1983 Jacqueline van der Kloet lives and works on a bastion in the Vecht river which is part of Weesp, a small city east of Amsterdam. The bastion is a 1,2 ha large area which is shared by 3 families who have known each other since they were studying garden and landscape architecture in the 1970’s. Together they have and maintain a garden which is part of the bastion: ‘De Theetuin’. This garden is the main subject in one of Jacqueline’s latest books: ‘A  year in my garden’.

It is open for visitors all year around except on Sundays and holidays, from 9.00 till 18.00 hours.
